For the selection committee

How DEWR staff keep the site current

The proposal recommends WordPress with the block editor, which staff already know from the current site, with structured content types so each item is entered once and appears everywhere it belongs.

  1. Upload a document

Add the PDF, choose its type, project and year, and set an optional archive date. It appears in the document library, on the project page and, for bid opportunities, on the notices page.

  2. Post a notice or switch on the banner

Write a construction notice or meeting notice with start and end dates. The homepage banner is a single on/off setting with an optional end date.

  3. Add a project or StoryMap

A project template with fields for status, timeline, team, before/after photos and a StoryMap link. Paste the ArcGIS StoryMap URL and it embeds.

  4. Roles and review

Program managers draft; the Information & Education team reviews and publishes. Every page keeps its revision history, so any change can be rolled back.

Field names and screens are samples. Final content types, roles and workflow are agreed in discovery.
